How to say “Let’s meet” in Russian

One reflexive verb and two questions, and the arrangement is made.

Quick answer

daváy fstrétimsya — встре́титься is reciprocal — no “each other” needed

The options

Let’s meet!
What time?
Where shall we meet?
Let’s say six o’clock at the metro.
Agreed!

The reciprocal -ся

Встре́титься already means “to meet each other”, so дава́й встре́тимся needs nothing else. Without -ся, встре́тить means to meet somebody — to go and collect them: Я встре́чу тебя́ в аэропорту́.

Setting the time and place

В шесть — at six. У метро́ — by the metro, with у plus genitive for “by”. Договори́лись seals it, and Я напишу́, когда́ вы́йду — I’ll text when I leave — is the modern footnote to every arrangement.

What you hear back

Let’s do it!
What time suits you?
Agreed, see you then!
I’ll text you.
